Meet Ryan Dewey Smith
Ryan founded Inperium in January 2016 as the parent organization overseeing a network of nonprofit agencies delivering person-centered mental health, intellectual disability, co-occurring disorder services, health-related supports, and related programs. Inperium ensures quality care, continuity of services, and effective use of resources under the governance of a Board of Directors comprising both officers and independent community members.
As President of Inperium, Ryan leverages his decades of experience in organizational growth, strategic planning, and change management to expand services, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver meaningful outcomes for communities and stakeholders. His leadership has driven significant successes, including the growth of Supportive Concepts for Families from $4.5 million in revenue and 200 employees in 2000 to over $65 million and 1,300 employees by 2018.
Since beginning his career at Supportive Concepts for Families in 1993 as a Program Coordinator, Ryan has progressed through Director of Programs, Chief Operating Officer, and CEO, implementing systems that align business operations with a people-focused mission and vision.
