Outside the Box

Being creative starts with the mindset to see from a different perspective.

At times, I’ve thought I'm not very creative. Give me a blank sheet of paper, and tell me to draw something or imagine a scene; I’m lost. I wouldn’t know where to start.

That's not me.

But I know this: if you create a box, and you ask me, ‘Tyler, what are the ways to operate outside the box?’

I get excited.

I look for ways to accomplish maybe the same goal, but outside of that box or outside the parameters of the box.

As I've learned, this is creativity. Being creative starts with the mindset to see from a different perspective.

I invite you to join my 12-Week Roundtable. It’s a community devoted to seeing things from different perspectives and empowering each other to lead well in our organizations. Schedule a call with me to learn more!
